J. Andrew Greenblatt

Executive Director

A Philadelphia native, Andrew has served for two years as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Philadelphia Film Society. Prior to joining the Film Society, he worked in the entertainment industry as an entertainment attorney, as president of business and legal affairs for an independent film production company, as well as an independent feature film producer.

Andrew’s credits as Producer include one short film, A Funny Thing Happened At The Quick Mart, four feature-length documentaries, including The Outdoorsmen: Blood, Sweat and Beers, Sleepwalking Through The Mekong, The Boy Who Loved Hearses, and Last Cup: The Road to the World Series of Beer Pong, and four narrative features, including: Explicit Ills, Twelve, Café, and Everything Must Go.

Parinda Patel

Managing Director

Parinda is a native of Philadelphia and graduate of Temple University. She has been a key member of the Philadelphia Film Society's Operations Staff since January of 2005. With 12 film festivals behind her, Parinda has served as the organization's Managing Director for the past 2 years, overseeing the areas of operations, media relations and marketing.

Jared Brach

Membership Coordinator

Jared Brach joined the Philadelphia Film Society as Membership Coordinator in January, 2011. Having relocated to the area from Santa Barbara, California, he previously served as Marketing Manager and Volunteer Coordinator for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and, for the past six years, as Public Relations and Membership Coordinator at the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation. He holds a BA in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Jared is currently responsible for the development, marketing and management of the Film Society’s membership program and associated events.

J. Lansing Sylvia

Development & Marketing Director

J. Lansing Sylvia ("Lansie") joined the Philadelphia Film Society as Development & Marketing Director in June 2011. She recently received her M.S. in Non-Profit/NGO Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy and Practice. Before that, she received a B.A in Political Science from Rutgers University, summa cum laude. Prior to joining PFS, Lansie worked at local non-profit organizations such as Dignity Housing, Teens 4 Good, The Federation of Neighborhood Centers, and The Village of Arts and Humanities. Lansie is responsible for cultivating major gifts, individual donations, and foundation support. She can be reached at jlsylvia [at] filmadelphia [dot] org.

Michael Lerman

Artistic Director

Michael is a veteran programmer of film festivals, currently curating for Fantastic Fest. He is also the Director of Acquisitions for The Film Sales Company, a New York City based film sales agency, as well as a frequent contributor to several acclaimed independent film publications including indieWIRE, Spout and Hammer to Nail. Coming from a diverse film industry background, he has worn many hats including one as the co- director/co-producer/co-writer of the 2008 SXSW premiere Natural Causes and the co-founder of the production company Tiger Industry Films. A native of Philadelphia, He has worked for the Film Society for several years, serving as an Associate Programmer for the Philadelphia Film Festival in 2007 and 2008, and as Director of Programming for the Film Society in 2009.
