We need your participation! The Philadelphia Film Society is a Non-Profit organization, and relies upon the philanthropy of its Members to continue its programming. Our mission is twofold:

To do our part in expanding Philadelphia as a vital participant in the national film scene, by organizing and hosting the two LARGEST film events in Pennsylvania- the Philadelphia Film Festival and the Philadelphia International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (the largest event of its kind on the East Coast!)

To provide our Membership base with the best year-round programming we can.

Your contributions make a significant difference in the choice of events we are able to put on throughout the year. The Membership you purchase sustains our programming; the donations you make helps us to create even more programs. Just as film, without an audience, is only half-alive, our Film Society exists for, and because of, our Members.

Membership with the Philadelphia Film Society has its privileges. Not only can you expect invitations to free preview screenings of the year's most highly anticipated films-before they even come out-but members are alerted immediately about special film events in the Greater Philadelphia area toward which PFS membership provides discounts.
